Clark was once asked what was the best advice he had ever been given. "To marry the girl I did," he replied.
"And who gave you that advice?" was the next question.
"She did," said the general.
Biographical Note...
U.S. general. After graduating from West Point in 1917 he served briefly in World War I. He was given command of the U.S. ground forces in Europe in World War II, and subsequently served in North Africa, Italy, Austria, and the Far East.
