Asked if he didn’t feel sorry to have beaten such a “nice bunch of guys” as the New York Giants when he was manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1940s, Durocher coined the classic: “Nice guys finish last.”

Quote-worthy...

I never did say that you cant be a nice guy and win. I said that if I was playing third base and my mother rounded third with the winning run, Id trip her up.
