- All cheetahs are nearly identical genetically, like clones, even though they don't cross-breed. In fact, the cheetah is the purest of natural animal breeds.

- Akbar the Great, the Mogul emperor who was the grandfather of the builder of the Taj Mahal, had 9,000 pet cheetahs.
