Killed by a Tortoise

The Greek dramatist Aeschylus (525-456 B.C.) was once told by a prophet that he would die of “a blow from heaven.” The prophet’s words came true when, according to a popular story, an eagle dropped a tortoise on the playwright’s bald head, mistaking it for a stone, and killed him outright.
