Pandas

• The Giant Panda looks like a bear. But it has a thumb. Bears don't have thumbs...so pandas can't be bears.
• The word for "bamboo-eater" in Nepal is "panda."
• Pandas don't hibernate because they eat bamboo shoots. Can't store enough fat from eating bamboo shoots.
• Sixty percent of panda births produce twins. That's not good. The mother always rejects the weaker and coddles the stronger.
• Nobody can sneak up on a panda. They have extremely acute hearing.
• Biologists have no idea why pandas are black and white.
• Pandas rarely make any sounds. When they do, their "roar" sounds more like indigestion.
